It is also ideal for coaches, educators, and individuals who are deeply interested in understanding trauma, fostering personal well-being, and acquiring practical skills to support themselves, their clients, or their communities. What is the main objective of this training?
The goal is to guide you in becoming a skilled, confident, and compassionate trauma-informed practitioner. As a Trauma Intervention Specialist, you will learn to help traumatized individuals by identifying triggers, teaching new coping strategies, regulating emotions, and improving communication skills to guide them toward healing and peace.

The workshop is led by Dr. Ma. Lourdes Medina, an Internationally Certified Clinical Trauma Specialist and President of EMDR Philippines, and Michael Lu, an ICF Credentialed Trauma-informed Coach and Certified Hypnotherapist Trainer.

When will the workshop take place?
The workshop is scheduled over four Sundays: September 28, October 5, 12, and 19, 2025.

The sessions will run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Philippine Standard Time.
Is this an online or in-person event?
This is an online workshop conducted on a "Convenient Online Learning Platform," allowing you to learn from anywhere.
What if I miss one of the live sessions? Will it be recorded?
Yes, all sessions will be recorded for participants who have registered for the course.
What if I can only learn through the recorded sessions? How do I earn my certificate?
To earn the "Certificate of Completion - Trauma Intervention Specialist (with Supervised Practice)" if you attend the 4-day sessions through recordings, you will need to:
- Complete the 4-day recorded training.
- Pass a written exam.
- Attend the 4 sessions of group follow-through learning and supervision.
Content and Learning
Is this workshop more theoretical or practical?
The workshop is highly practical, focusing on moving "beyond theory to immediate application". It includes immersive experiential exercises, real-world case studies, and practical demonstrations.
What specific therapeutic techniques and modalities will be covered?
You will gain proficiency in a wide array of techniques, including leading modalities like EMDR, CBT, DBT, and ACT, as well as holistic and integrative practices such as Positive Psychology, Therapeutic Art, and Mindfulness.
Will I receive a certification from this workshop?
Yes, participants who successfully complete the workshop requirements will receive a "Certificate of Completion - Trauma Intervention Specialist (with Supervised Practice)". To earn this certificate, you will need to:
- Complete the 4-day training (either by attending live sessions which include supervision, or by completing the 4-day recorded training).
- Pass a written exam.
- Attend the 4 sessions of group follow-through learning and supervision (if attending via recordings, or as part of the live training).
Additionally, there is an optional, add-on Hypnotherapy Certification Course available which includes an international membership of ICBCH. The International Certification Board of Clinical Hypnotherapy (ICBCH) is a worldwide organization that provides education and certification in clinical hypnotherapy and related fields like NLP and executive life coaching.
Can I receive a certificate of attendance if I don't complete all practitioner requirements?
Yes, participants who complete the 4-day training (either live or recorded) but choose not to pursue the full "Certificate of Completion - Trauma Intervention Specialist (with Supervised Practice)" can receive a "Certificate of Attendance." This certificate acknowledges your participation in the core workshop sessions.
